Build Block, Inc., a California corporation doing business as Build Block ("Build Block," "we," "our," or "us"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information when you access or use our websites, mobile or web-based applications, customer support channels, newsletters, recruiting portal, property management tools, real estate and membership services, including 82office and related office-access services, and any other products or services that link to this Policy (collectively, the "Services").
This Policy also describes the rights available to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the "CCPA"). Not every category of personal information described below is collected from every individual; the information we collect depends on how you interact with Build Block and the Services you use. Where required, we may provide additional just-in-time or supplemental notices at or before the point of collection.

1. Categories of Personal Information We Collect
Depending on the products, services, and features you use, Build Block may collect the following categories of personal information. The examples below are illustrative and are not intended to be exhaustive.
Identifiers and contact information. such as name, postal address, telephone number, email address, account name, online identifier, Internet Protocol address, date of birth, and similar identifiers.
California customer records and account data. such as signatures, account credentials, service-plan information, property address, ZIP code, company name, company logo, website address, number of managed units, office-access information, and other records relating to our Services.
Payment and transaction information. such as bank account details, payment method details, billing data, transaction history, settlement information, refund data, Stripe customer or account identifiers, and payment method identifiers.
Property, tenancy, and service-request information. such as information relating to leases, rental or occupancy applications, maintenance requests, support tickets, uploaded documents, and communications among tenants, landlords, managers, and other users.
Commercial information. such as services requested, purchased, upgraded, cancelled, or considered; memberships and paid features; and other purchasing or usage histories.
Internet or other electronic network activity. such as browsing history, search history, device or browser information, log data, and information regarding interaction with our websites, applications, emails, or advertisements.
Geolocation data. such as general location based on IP address, location associated with a property or service request, and, where applicable, more precise location data if enabled or required by a feature.
Audio, electronic, visual, or similar information. such as photographs, videos, chat transcripts, call records, customer support materials, or other user-submitted content.
Professional, employment, and education information. such as resume or CV details, work history, job title, professional credentials, school information, degree information, and other recruiting materials.
Sensitive personal information. such as account log-in information and passwords, government-issued identifiers, financial account information, the contents of communications where Build Block is the intended recipient, precise geolocation where applicable, and, where relevant and permitted by law, certain protected-class, health, citizenship or immigration, or other sensitive information voluntarily provided or collected for recruiting, accommodations, compliance, security, or service delivery.
Inferences. such as service interests, communication preferences, likely property needs, or behavioral insights derived from the information described above.
We may also create or receive deidentified or aggregated information that cannot reasonably be linked to a particular individual or household and use or disclose that information as permitted by law.
2. Sources of Personal Information
We collect personal information from the following sources:
- Directly from you, including when you register an account, submit forms, apply for services, apply for a position, subscribe to newsletters, communicate with us, upload documents, or make a payment.
- Automatically from your browser, device, or use of the Services, including through cookies, pixels, log files, and similar technologies.
- From other users or clients involved in a transaction or relationship with you, such as managers, landlords, tenants, or business representatives using the Services.
- From third-party service providers, integration partners, and identity, payment, or access-control providers that support the Services.
- From recruiting sources, referrals, publicly available sources, or professional profiles where permitted by law and relevant to our business or recruiting activities.

3. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information for business and commercial purposes consistent with the context in which it was collected and as reasonably necessary and proportionate to provide the Services.
- To create, administer, maintain, and secure accounts; authenticate users; and enable social login or access-control features.
- To provide, operate, support, and improve Build Block's real estate, property management, membership, office-access, recruiting, and related services.
- To process applications, service requests, support inquiries, newsletters, memberships, subscriptions, upgrades, cancellations, payments, refunds, and settlements.
- To facilitate communications and transactions among users, clients, vendors, service providers, and Build Block personnel.
- To recruit, evaluate, interview, and communicate with job applicants, and to comply with employment-related obligations.
- To send transactional notices, service updates, administrative messages, and, where permitted by law, marketing or promotional communications.
- To monitor usage, conduct analytics, troubleshoot issues, improve functionality, and develop new products or services.
- To detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to fraud, spam, abuse, security incidents, unauthorized access, and other harmful or unlawful activity.
- To comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, enforce contracts and policies, protect rights or safety, and support audits, investigations, or corporate transactions.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, log files, web beacons, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, understand how the Services are used, measure the effectiveness of communications, support security and fraud prevention, and improve performance. You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings, but blocking certain cookies may affect how the Services function.
5. How We Disclose Personal Information
Build Block may disclose personal information to the categories of recipients listed below for the business and commercial purposes described in this Policy:
- Other users or parties at your direction or as necessary to provide the Services, including managers, landlords, tenants, clients, vendors, or service contacts involved in leasing, property management, maintenance, office access, communications, or payments.
- Service providers, contractors, processors, and integration partners that perform services on our behalf under contractual restrictions.
- Affiliates, professional advisors, insurers, auditors, financing sources, or transaction counterparties where reasonably necessary for corporate administration or strategic transactions.
- Government authorities, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other third parties when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- The public or third-party platforms if you choose to make information public, such as public-facing listings, comments, testimonials, photographs, or other content you ask us to publish.

Our service providers and contractors may retain personal information for the period reasonably necessary to perform the contracted services, comply with law, protect security, resolve disputes, and satisfy contractual or business obligations.

Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
Based on the data practices described in this Policy, Build Block does not sell personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Build Block does not have actual knowledge that it sells or shares the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Sensitive Personal Information
Build Block uses and discloses sensitive personal information only as reasonably necessary to provide the Services requested by the consumer, process transactions, manage office access or account security, prevent fraud or illegal activity, comply with law, or otherwise for purposes permitted by California law.
7. Publicly Posted Information
If you choose to submit content for public display or external promotion—such as public property listings, comments, testimonials, photographs, or other promotional materials—that information may become publicly available and may be indexed by search engines or accessible to third parties. Please use care when deciding what information to make public.
8. Retention of Personal Information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the disclosed purposes for which it was collected, including to provide the Services, maintain appropriate business and financial records, protect security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. The criteria we use may include the nature of the information, the sensitivity of the information, the amount of information collected, the risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, and applicable statutory, tax, accounting, litigation, audit, and recordkeeping requirements.

9. Your California Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable exceptions and verification requirements, California residents may have the following rights:
- Right to Know / Access. You may request the categories of personal information we collected about you, the categories of sources from which we collected it, the business or commercial purposes for collecting, disclosing, selling, or sharing it, the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed it, and the specific pieces of personal information we collected about you.
- Right to Delete. You may request deletion of personal information we collected from you, subject to exceptions allowed by law.
- Right to Correct. You may request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to Data Portability. Where applicable, you may request a copy of personal information in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing. If Build Block were to engage in sale or sharing as defined by California law, you would have the right to direct us to stop. Based on the data practices described in this Policy, Build Block does not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to Limit the Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information. To the extent Build Block uses sensitive personal information beyond the purposes permitted by California law, you would have the right to request that such use and disclosure be limited.
- Right to Non-Discrimination / Non-Retaliation. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. This includes an applicant's or worker's right not to be retaliated against for exercising rights available under the CCPA.
10. How to Submit a Privacy Request
You may submit a request to know, delete, or correct your personal information through the contact methods identified below and through any additional privacy-request channels that Build Block may make available on its website.

Verification of Requests
Before responding to a request to know, delete, or correct, we may need to verify your identity by matching information you provide against the information we maintain. The level of verification may vary depending on the type of request and the sensitivity of the information requested. We may deny a request where we cannot verify your identity or where a statutory exception applies. We will not use information provided for verification for unrelated purposes.
Authorized Agents
An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf if the agent provides a valid power of attorney or other written authorization, and if Build Block can verify the identity of both the consumer and the authorized agent as permitted by law.
Timing of Responses
We aim to respond to verified requests within forty-five (45) days after receipt. If reasonably necessary, we may extend the response period once by an additional forty-five (45) days, in which case we will notify you within the original response period.
11. International and Cross-Border Transfers
Build Block operates in the United States and the Republic of Korea and may store or process personal information in the United States, Korea, or other jurisdictions where our service providers or contractors operate. This may include transfers to service providers such as AWS, Slack, ButterflyMX, and Stripe, or other vendors that support our Services. By using the Services, you acknowledge that your personal information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have privacy laws different from those of your place of residence, subject to applicable legal requirements.
12. Data Security
Build Block maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These safeguards may include encryption, access controls, secure transmission protocols, logging and monitoring, role-based restriction of internal access, and internal policies governing the handling of personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13 years of age, and Build Block does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Build Block, please contact us so that we may take appropriate steps.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, services, legal requirements, or other operational needs. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy and, where required by law, provide additional notice.
